1.24mm soft annealed black wire (BWG18)
I. Material
Low carbon steel (Q195/SAE 1008), with low carbon content, good toughness and easy bending, is the most commonly used raw material for soft black silk.
II. The characteristics
-Extremely soft and highly flexible: annealing can eliminate internal stress, and it can be repeatedly bent and not easily broken.
-Moderate strength: tensile strength 350-390 MPa, elongation 10-25%.
-Black and bright surface: uniform black oxide film is formed after annealing, with slight rust resistance.
-Easy to process: easy to cut, easy to bind, easy to knit and easy to spot weld.
-Economical: cheaper than galvanized wire, suitable for indoor/dry environment.
III. The surface treatment method
-Annealing oxidation (black film): naturally formed by high-temperature annealing, without zinc layer.
Anti-rust oil: thin oil film on the surface to prevent short-term rust, and standard for export.
-No coating: only oil film protection, the lowest cost.
IV. Export packaging (commonly used)
-Small roll (1kg/ roll): inner plastic film → outer carton → wooden pallet; 20 rolls/box.
-large roll (25kg/ roll): inner PE film → outer woven bag/sack → wooden pallet.
