2.11mm hot-dip galvanized iron wire (BWG 14#)
I. Raw materials
-base material: Q195/Q235 low carbon steel wire rod (or SAE 1006/1008)
-Zinc material: 99.995% high-purity zinc ingot.
-Process: wire rod → multi-pass cold drawing → annealing → pickling → plating aid → hot dip zinc (≈450℃)**→ cooling and straightening → winding.
II. The characteristics
-wire diameter: 2.11mm(BWG14#) with a tolerance of 0.05 mm.
-tensile strength: 350-550 MPa, elongation ≥12%
-Good toughness and easy bending and binding; Strong corrosion resistance and long service life (outdoor use for more than ten years)
-Silver matte, uniform coating; Good weldability and machinability
III. Surface treatment (hot dip galvanizing)
-Zinc dosage: 60-275 g/m (80-120 in general; Thickened by 150–275)
-Coating structure: outer layer of pure zinc+inner layer of zinc-iron alloy, with strong adhesion and rust resistance even after being scratched.
-Standards: GB/T 15393, ASTM A90, etc.
IV. Export packaging (commonly used)
-Inner core: plastic/paper tube (inner diameter 300-500mm)
-Coil weight: 25kg/50kg/100kg (5-1000kg can be customized).
-Outer layer: moisture-proof woven bag+plastic film, rust-proof and damage-proof by sea.
-Identification: shipping mark, specification, net weight, batch number and place of origin.
V. Application
-Construction: steel binding wire, masonry binding wire, scaffolding binding.
-Agriculture: fixing the framework of greenhouse, tying grape trellis/orchard, and animal husbandry fence.
-Weaving: welded mesh, hexagonal mesh, gabion mesh and fence mesh.
-Packaging: export goods reinforcement, tube/plate bundling.
-Others: handicrafts, metal hoses, wire armoring, municipal works.
