1 Inch Common Nail – Full Product Specification
I. Material
Made of Q195 / Q235 low carbon steel wire. It is the mainstream raw material for common nails, featuring excellent toughness, not easy to brittle fracture, and suitable for hammering into wood materials.
II. Wire Diameter
Length: 1 inch = 25.4 mm
Standard BWG gauge for 1-inch common nails:
- BWG15: 1.83 mm
- BWG14: 2.03 mm (most popular specification for export)
- BWG13: 2.34 mm (thickened type)

III. Product Features
1. Round flat textured nail head, anti-slip during hammering with large bearing force area.
2. Smooth straight shank and sharp diamond point, easy penetration into wood and effectively prevent wood splitting.
3. Low carbon steel material with good toughness, resistant to bending and breaking during construction.
4. Excellent nail holding power, low cost and high versatility.

1. Polished (Bright Finish)
Pickled and polished surface with silver-white appearance. Lowest cost, no rust resistance, suitable for dry indoor environments only.
2. Electro Galvanized (Cold Galvanized)
Thin zinc coating with silver-grey surface. Provides mild rust protection, applicable for indoor and semi-outdoor dry occasions.
3. Hot Dipped Galvanized (HDG)
Thick and durable zinc layer with superior anti-corrosion and rust-proof performance. Perfect for humid environments and outdoor construction scenarios.
